It withstands frequent packing, gear transport, and contact with the ground. We made the product from Cordura® 500D, which increases resistance to abrasion and damage. The material is coated with DWR, which limits absorption and makes cleaning easier. We also used YKK® zippers and Woojin components, which work reliably even under heavy loads and in changing temperatures.
We equipped the backpack with adjustable, contoured, and quick-release shoulder straps that you can comfortably fit to your body shape. The hip belt transfers part of the weight to the hips, and the chest strap stabilizes the backpack while walking. The back panel, made of foam covered with spacer mesh, improves ventilation and increases comfort during longer carrying.
Matilda inherited the characteristic pocket layout and modularity of this system, but it has been made lighter and adapted for bushcraft and civilian use. The result is a backpack that combines classic solutions with the functionality needed for modern field trips.
