SOL® Escape Bivvy

The SOL Escape Bivvy is a revolution in backcountry, survival, and emergency shelters, and provides a combination of dry warmth, water resistance, usability, light weight, and small size that no other product on the market offers.

The Escape Bivvy is constructed of a proprietary spunbonded olefin fabric with green color on the outside and metalized coating on the inside. The metalized coating reflects body heat back to the user and traps body heat within the bivvy. But unlike "space blankets" or "emergency blankets" that trap moisture and make your clothing wet, the Escape Bivvy's proprietary material lets water vapor escape so you will always remain dry.

Like the famous Gore-Tex fabric, the Escape Bivvy's material has countless pores that are thousands of times smaller than a water droplet but hundreds of times larger than water vapor molecule. The Escape Bivvy is waterproof and windproof, but will let perspiration pass easily as it reflects body heat back at you. The seams are waterproof.

The side of the Escape Bivvy has a 3/4-length zipper and there is a drawstring hood closure at the top if you want to cinch up. The Escape Bivvy may be used by itself, or as part of a sleep system with sleeping bag.

The Escape Bivvy is very lightweight at only 8.5 ounces and measures only 7" x 4" x 4" in its stuffsack. It will take up very little space in your pack, and is certainly small enough to be left in your vehicle at all times in case of an emergency
